1.              Art must be Western in theme - historical or contemporary

2.              All media considered.

3.              Each artist may submit up to three pieces of work.

4.                       Art and frames, including glass, must be dry, clean and ready to hang or install. Images must be mounted and/or framed with a wire hanger or other secure device.  (Please try to avoid the "teeth-like" hangers or tiny loop-like hangers.)  Larger pieces must contain adequate hanging or installation hardware and the MARC may require the assistance of the artist to hang or install large or heavy works of art.  The MARC will not accept responsibility for installing     hardware for hanging; if it is not ready for hanging, it will not be shown or entered into the    competition.

5.              Entries will be received February 1st- February 5th.  Late entries will be accepted from out-of-town artists only and the MARC requires advance notice of  these entries.  The show will be hung February 9th and shown throughout the long weekend event.

6.  Entry forms can be obtained at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center.  You may enter your work in only one of two categories:  professional or amateur.  Cash prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

First Place Professional  $200.00

Second Place Professional $100.00

Third Place Professional $  50.00

First Place Amateur $100.00

Second Place Amateur $  50.00

Third Place Amateur $  25.00

7.  The show will be removed on Friday, February 20th; art should be picked up from the MARC no later than February 27th.  Out of town artists may remove their art on Monday, Feb 15th. 

8.  Art will be judged by three independent judges
